Peace

This has been a remarkable process. While we would never selected this course of events, we have had a strong feeling of peace through the entire time. The news that I was positive for cancer was not extremely disturbing, because it was also accompanied by a great sense of peace. Through this time, we have had a series of developments where the news got a little more difficult each time (in the lypmh nodes - chemo; no clear margins - mastectomy; radiation after chemo). However with each bit of news, the peace has always been there. It doesn't mean that we have not struggled with some of the news or that there haven't been some emotional hours. We have had those times - but they have been in the minority of the time. Throughout the process, we have known that our Heavenly Father is mindful of our situation and is blessing us. We realize that this is our opportunity to learn whatever it is that Heavenly Father wants us to learn. Like many events in our lives, we would not pick them for ourselves, however, it is these experiences that provide us the growth we need. We are deeply grateful for the knowledge we have of the Plan of Salvation and our purpose for this earthly existence.
